Producers with crop insurance to receive benefit for cover crops

This program was announced by the USDA—Risk Management Agency (RMA) on Monday, June 1 and can provide up to a $5/acre payment to producers who planted a cover crop on their insured acres of grain and silage corn. The cover crop acres must be reported to the USDA—Farm Service Agency (FSA) by June 15, 2021!
A significant number of dairy farmers insure their silage and grain corn and could benefit from this program!
